Phil Jarratt, SPRA Chairman

Phil JarrattPhil has worked in construction since the mid ‘70s. In 1981 he joined the fastener manufacturer ITW Buildex and became technical manager. During that time he became familiar with single ply roofing and represented Buildex on the SPRA Technical Committee (or Flexible Roofing Association as it was known then). He has been working in single ply roofing since 1986 when he joined Sarnafil and became Technical Director.  Since the acquisition of Sarnafil Ltd by Sika Ltd in 2006 Phil has taken on the role of Head of Technical with responsibility for both Sika Ltd roofing brands; Sarnafil and Sika-Trocal.  A Fellow of the Institute of Roofing, Phil is current Chairman of Council for the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) and Chairman of the Industry Advisory Group for Roofing, a role created to help Government with proposed revisions of Approved Document L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of the Building Regulations, representing the views of SPRA and NFRC.
   

Jim Hooker, SPRA Director

Jim HookerJim Hooker was technical director of British Flat Roofing Council from 1994 to 2000 before setting up his own consultancy. He provides all technical administrative and financial support to SPRA. "The excellent reputation of single ply is down to high quality materials and their supply only to properly trained installers. It's my job to ensure that relationship is maintained positively in an expanding market".
   

James Talman

James TalmanI have over 20 years experience in single ply materials across all main generic types. As Chairman of the SPRA in 2000 I instigated its' move to independence and to be inclusive of all elements in the supply chain to deliver top class applications. I am CEO of Protan (UK) and a member of the Group's Management Team. I am a firm believer in the old adage that for every price there is a cost.
   

Steve Greaves

Steve GreavesSince October 2005 Steve has been the Sales Director for Flag-Soprema UK Ltd.  He  has been part of the Flat roofing industry for almost 20 years having started his career with Icopal, and over that time his roles been from technical sales management to business development manager for major accounts.

   

Mike Crook

Mike CrookHas a wealth of commercial experience and expertise in roofing and cladding having spent 24 years working for SSQ and Eternit.  Mike’s vision is to inspire roofers, architects and contractors to maximise the use of roof space to include amenity, biodiversity and energy capture.  SPRA membership means a key opportunity to contribute to the development of and best practice within the single ply roofing market and to make a positive contribution to creating a sustainable built environment.

Jonathan Seymour
Jonathan has over twenty seven years experience of the roofing industry, having previously worked for William Cox roof lights & Rockwool Insulation. His current role as UK Sales Manager is with fall protection manufacturer, Latchways plc.
 
 
   

Tony Millichap

Tony Millichap“I have worked in and around the flat roofing industry for approximately 15 years and held a number of senior positions in contracting and commercial roles, most recently closing the loop with my appointment to Technical Manager with Kingspan Insulation. In my experience our industry provides a new challenge everyday and is constantly changing, my involvement with SPRA helps influence this change.”
   

Chris Hall

Chris HallChis has been involved with the flat roofing/ insulation industry since 1986 holding several senior positions.  He has experience in the industry as both a supplier and contractor the most notable being supply manager of the largest single ply roof in the World - Chep Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong.  Educated to MBA standard and with a deep and thorugh understanding of strategic and operational issues.  Currently involved with BRUFMA and TIMSA.
   

Nick Kershaw, SPRA vice Chairman

Nick KershawCommercial Director for BriggsAmasco, one of the largest flat roofing contractors in the UK.  He has worked in the roofing industry for over 26 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience of all flat roofing products and systems.Nick was pleased to be elected to Council two years ago. He is committed to promoting SPRA, ensuring best practice and maintaining high standards within the industry.  Nick’s aim is to encourage main contractors and end users to only consider our SPRA Members for the employment of single ply roofing projects.
   

Brendan McNulty, Chairman of Contractors Group

Brendan McNultyManaging Director of Delomac Roofing having worked in flat roofing since 1978, and with single ply since the mid 80s. "I have been on the SPRA Council since 2006, currently as Chair of Contractor Representatives. In between work, I enjoy the odd cycle challenge, having completed Lands End to John O'Groats and 2 stages of the Tour de France in Etape 2007."
   

Paul Stephenson

Paul Stephenson Paul is a director of Oxford-based enveloping contractor Midland Single Ply Roofing. He's helped drive training initiatives for single ply, in particular the new apprenticeship programme and represents SPRA on the NSCC fair payment campaign. He has been technical advisor to the judges for the national roofing awards in 2009 and 2010.
   

Steve Greenwood

Steve GreenwoodManaging director of SEECO (Single Ply) Ltd has worked within the industry for over 40 years, having formed SEECO in 1979.  Over the years gained considerable experience in both single ply and roof tiling, developing many innovative ideas in the process, Steve has also been supporter of training his staff with achievements in skillbuild.  During the past 30 years he has seen 3 recessions and the hike in insurances but has been able to continue the growth of the company.
   

Martyn Holloway Chairman of Technical Committee

Martyn Holloway
Martyn is Business Development Manager/Flat Roof Applications Manager for fastener manufacturer SFS Intec Ltd responsible for the development of the flat roofing product range and flat roofing business development in the UK.  He has more than 25 years experience within the roofing industry, previously working as Roofing Product Manager for Rockwool.
